One sensor will have a green light and the other will have an amber light. • Dirty Lenses: The photo-eyes of garage door sensors is made of superior-quality glass. Over time, these sensors tend to get dirty. You can manually clean it with a mild cleanser and a soft cloth to eradicate the sensor issue.

• Wiring: Garage door photo eyes are the required safety mechanism for a garage door not to cause harm to individuals when it is in operation. If you happen to see that the lights are out in either of the two sensors at the bottom of the garage door, we advise hiring a professional as this step requires a professional to check the wiring from the motor head to the sensors, rewire and if necessary, replace the photo eyes.
